BELGRADE – Serbia’s Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will on Monday pay a one-day visit to Belgium, where he will participate in a conference titled “Friends of Serbia”.
The conference has been organized by the Foreign Ministers of Austria and Italy, Sebastian Kurz and Paolo Gentiloni respectively, so as to draw attention to the steps forward that Serbia has made along its EU path.
The conference will bring together representatives of all EU member states, the government’s media relations office released in a statement.
Such a wide response does not just prove that there is no country in the EU which does not want to see Serbia as a member, it proves there is good will to help the country on its path to Europe, a Brussels-based diplomat, who wished to remain anonymous, told Tanjug.
The meeting should begin with introductory speeches by Prime Minister of Serbia and Foreign Ministers of Austria and Italy, after which an informal discussion on the European perspective of Serbia should be held.
