Svilanović gains second term in RCC

Goran Svilanović

SOFIA – Former Serbian foreign minister Goran Svilanovic will assume his duty as the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) for a second term, that is, until the end of 2018.

Svilanovic signed the new contract in Sofia on Monday and it represents an official Agreement on Assumption of Duties of the RCC Secretary General, for the period January 1, 2016 – December 31, 2018.

The decision on Svilanovic’s re-appointment was reached in May this year following the proposal of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP).

Serbia’s former foreign minister will attend the Conference on ‘Energy Security and Energy Infrastructure in SEE’ in Sofia on Tuesday.

Svilanovic first became the Secretary General of the RCC in 2013.
