Orav: Due to the recent threats made against myself, Hahn and Vanhoutte, we’ve had to increase security

SKOPJE – EU Ambassador Aivo Orav at the session at the Parliamentary Committee for European Affairs and the National Council for European Integration, said that European officials had received threats and that therefore have to increase their provision.

“We are here to help you, because you are a candidate-country. However, a negative campaign has started against the intermediaries of the European Union and European Commissioner Hahn, for example against his expert in Skopje, Mr Vanhoutte. Threats have increased to the extent that in some cases we’ve had to increase our security”, said Ambassador Orav.

Ambassador Orav said it is too early to declare the Przhino Agreement dead in the water, although there are constant delays in its implementation.
