BRUSSELS – The European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations has criticised President Gjorgi Ivanov’s decision to annul only 22 individuals.
“President Ivanov’s decision to annul pardons for only a number of people is not sufficient. As stated repeatedly by the EU, a comprehensive solution is key to avoid selective justice”, Hahn wrote on his official “Twitter” page.

Today, President Ivanov annulled 22 pardons to politically exposed persons, while the remaining people from the 56 pardoned, need to individually submit requests to have their pardons withdrawn, if that is what they choose to do.
