Dačić: Full EU membership Serbia's strategic goal

Ivica Dačić

TANJUG_maliBELGRADE – Full EU membership remains the key strategic foreign policy objective for Serbia, FM Ivica Dačić said at a meeting with members of the Council of the EU Working Party on Enlargement and Countries Negotiating Accession to the EU (COELA) and EC and Council of the EU officials.Commenting on the fact that overall progress in Serbia’s EU accession is being monitored through the results of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Dačić said this would be counterproductive over the long term as the significance of reforms undertaken was thus diminished while exaggerating an extremely sensitive political process.

He expressed dissatisfaction over Pristina’s avoidance of implementing its part of obligations relating to the establishment of the Community of Serb Municipalities and over its unilateral moves such as bids for membership in international organisations.
