SUBOTICA – Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on Wednesday said he believed Serbia would not be slowed down on its EU path as a result of Pristina’s vows to never establish the Community of Serb Municipalities or public statements announcing certain actions, Tanjug reports.
“I believe and expect we will be more successful, and I hope people in Europe understand well who did not want a dialogue,” Vucic told reporters in Subotica.
Vučić noted he would discuss Serbia’s EU path with EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn, who he said was scheduled to arrive in Belgrade after 10 pm.
He said Hahn was a friend of Serbia and that they would have a working breakfast and discuss the EU path and the opening of further chapters in the accession talks.
“We have chances of opening two new chapters, which would take the number of open chapters to ten,” he said.
