NATO Deputy Secretary General welcomes BiH’s reform efforts

BRUSSELS – NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller welcomed the Chairman of the Tri-Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mladen Ivanić; the Chairman of the Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdic; and Defence Minister Marina Pendes to NATO Headquarters on Tuesday (20 June 2017) for an exchange of views, NATO stated.

The Deputy Secretary General thanked Bosnia and Herzegovina for its valuable contribution to the Alliance’s Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan and welcomed Bosnia and Herzegovina’s defence reform efforts, including the adoption of the Defence Review last year. She encouraged Bosnia and Herzegovina to maintain momentum by continuing to register defence properties to the state in order to activate the Membership Action Plan. She said that NATO will continue to provide assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina to achieve this and other goals on the path to Euro-Atlantic integration.
