BELGRADE – Serbia has taken the right course and EU integration is a strategic direction of development, European Integration Minister Jadranka Joksimović said Thursday, adding the country would in the coming period continue reforms that would lead to EU membership, Tanjug reports.
“This was a good week for Serbia in terms of the path towards the EU – we are extremely satisfied that we managed to open four significant negotiation chapters during Malta’s six-month presidency,” Joksimović said at the National Bank of Serbia Gallery, where she opened an exhibition titled “Applied Nostalgia”.

It was one of the most successful presidencies in terms of enlargement, said Joksimović, who expects equally good cooperation during Estonia’s upcoming presidency of the Council of the EU.

She reiterated Serbia was doing all it took to open negotiation chapters.
