BELGRADE – Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić on Wednesday received Gen Curtis Scaparrotti, Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO Allied Command Operations, expressing satisfaction with the good cooperation with NATO, which is developing with respect of Serbia’s military neutrality.

Vučić expressed the hope the cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and NATO within the Partnership for Peace programme would be enhanced for further capacity-building for contribution to international peace, the presidential press office said.

He noted that KFOR, the NATO-led international peacekeeping force in Kosovo-Metohija, had a key role in protecting the Kosovo-Metohija Serbs as a guarantor of their safety and in maintaining regional stability.

Scaparrotti confirmed KFOR would continue to fulfil its obligations in Kosovo-Metohija in a responsible manner.
