Serbia has a more certain European future now thanks to internal reforms, the announced continuity in Germany’s foreign policy and its policy towards the Balkans, Serbian European Integration Minister Jadranka Joksimović said in Brussels Tuesday.
After meeting with EP rapporteur for Serbia David McAllister, she said she believed it was “very important that, as a high-ranking politician in Germany, McAllister announced a continuity in Germany’s foreign policy.”
“That is very significant as, without a doubt, Germany is one of the EU’s political and economic engines. As a candidate country, we can thus expect a stable European policy, in particular in terms of further enlargement. We believe we can open at least three chapters by the year’s end,” she said.
