TIRANA – The SUMMIT100 business leaders of South Eastern Europe (SEE), an unique business initiative aimed at engaging business community in the region to take their part of responsibility for business and economic integration, will be held for the sixth time on October 16-17, 2017, in the city of Skopje, Macedonia.
After the successful trajectory that led this unique business initiative in Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, this year, it goes south, to Skopje, where the sixth annual event will gather over 150 top business and political leaders from the SEE region set to discuss concrete ideas, projects, proposals for improved connectivity in the region in all aspects of economy and society.
Many special guests from European Commission, EBRD, EIB, Norden, World Bank, IMF, and many others will also attend with the aim to identify key projects and ideas for development of the region.
The topic of this year’s summit will be connectivity in all sorts of aspects, including transport and free cargo in the region, Green Balcanica project that aims to make the SEE hub for electric mobility in Europe infrastructure, branding and promotion of the region, mobility of people, energy, digitalization, etc.
The key note guest will be the European Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc.
The goal of the SUMMIT100 initiative is to put regional cooperation high on the agenda of every Government in the region by raising specific questions and aiming to work out a new deal for a new age which will improve competitiveness of national economies and strengthen the potential of South-Eastern Europe.
Summit100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe is a unique business initiative that gathers the most prominent business leaders of Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo and Albania. Initiators and organizers of the SUMMIT100 are Alkaloid Skopje, together with the Managers’ Association of Slovenia (MAS), Serbian Association of Managers (SAM), the Croatian Employers’ Association (HUP) and the Atlas Foundation from Montenegro, BBI Bank and ASA Holding from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
SUMMIT100 has become a strong brand of regional business cooperation and an important platform for exchanging ideas and structuring tangible development programs that would bring the SEE region a step forward towards becoming a strong business community which generates higher economic growth and creates better quality of life for all people in Southeast Europe.
