TIRANA – Prime Minister Edi Rama said that the setting up of bodies, that will vet around 800 Albanian justice officials which paves the way towards implementation of the justice reform, represents a major step forward on Albania’s path towards EU membership.

“The establishment of vetting Commissions, which clears the way towards implementation of the justice system reform, is a major step forward on our country’s road towards the European Union,” said Rama.

“In Albania we want the rule of law, jobs and welfare,” Rama added.

The Prime Minister noted that these steps will not be easy one, “but the feeling of responsibility for the country and the people who voted us is so high that no one can stop us.”
