Head of the EU Office in Kosovo and EU Special Representative Nataliya Apostolova on Friday warned Kosovo’s political leaders that scrapping the law on a special court set up to try war crimes committed by the “Kosovo Liberation Army” would be a dangerous move.
“Abrogation of the Law on Specialist Chambers and the Specialist Prosecution Office would be a dangerous move undermining the rule of law and credibility of Kosovo as an EU partner,” she wrote on her official Twitter account. “I call on political leaders to put national interest first and work for the common good and further European integration,” she wrote.
