Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama welcomed today’s EU Council decision on conditional opening of accession talks with Albania and Macedonia in June next year. “After 72 hours of sailing through the EU’s internal waves, Albania has been able to get a date for joining the harbor of united Europe,” wrote Rama on his Facebook account. He assessed that the reforms made skeptics recognize the merits of Albania and Macedonia. “A very difficult battle has been won, the war continues,” Rama added.
