Nikos Kotzias resigns, Tsipras takes over Foreign Ministry

ATHENS – Nikos Kotzias, Greek Foreign Minister, resigned today after Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras allegedly failed to support him in a clash with Defense Minister Panos Kammenos over the Prespes accord with Macedonia, Kathimerini reports. Kammenos, leader of junior coalition party “Independent Greeks” and has opposed the Agreement, the portal reminds.

Tsipras announced he will take over the Foreign Ministry to ensure a successful implementation of the Agreement.
