Former Macedonian PM Gruevski seeks asylum in Hungary

BUDAPEST – Former Prime Minister of Macedonia and honorary president of the VMRO-DPMNE has applied for asylum in Hungary, N1 reports. On Monday, Macedonian Ministry of Interior issued an arrest warrant for Gruevski, since he failed to start serving his two-year prison sentence.

“In the past few days, I have received numerous threats to my life. I am now in Budapest and I have applied for asylum from Hungarian government. I will always remain faithful to Macedonian cause. I will never give up”, wrote Gruevski on his official Facebook profile.
