GRAZ – Foreign Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia Nikola Dimitrov gave an open public lecture at the University of Graz titled “To Europe through Prespa: European Integration of North Macedonia.”
“The Prespa Agreement removed an obstacle in our relations with Greece, but at the same time building a bridge to the EU integration of our country. With the Prespa Agreement, we achieved something that Schuman, one of the founder’s fathers of the European Union, would describe as “de facto solidarity through concrete works”, stressed Dimitrov. In addition, he also spoke about the reform steps that are being actively undertaken on the road to EU integration.
During a one-day visit of the University, Minister Nikola Dimitrov also met with the University Rector, Krista Neuper, and he also held an informal discussion with academics and businessmen to address the reform processes, and especially the steps taken in the fight against corruption.
At the working meeting with the State Advisor for Economics, Tourism, Europe, Science and Research in the local government of Staerska, Barbara Ibbinger, opinions were exchanged on the country’s European integration, as well as the possibilities for realizing concrete projects for deepening the overall cooperation between the Staersk region and Republic of North Macedonia.
