Stoltenberg to visit North Macedonia in June

SKOPJE – NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will pay an official two day visit to the Republic of North Macedonia on June 2. As previously announced, North Atlantic Council will pay the visit as well. During the visit, Stoltenberg and members of the Council plan to meet the country’s top officials. This is the first visit of Stoltenberg and senior NATO officials to North Macedonia since NATO allies signed Protocol on the accession of North Macedonia to NATO. So far, the parliaments of 13 out of 29 member states of the Alliance ratified the Accession Protocol. Once the Protocol is ratified in each of the 29 Allies, according to national procedures, the country will become a full member of NATO.
