PRISTINA -Chief of EU Office in Pristina Nataliya Apostolova stated today for RTK2 that the best solution for continuing the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is revoking the tariffs and reminded that their imposition represents a violation of CEFTA and Stability and Association Agreement with the EU.
She stated that the dialogue is not suspended, but that it certainly is facing problems and added that the actors are now searching for exit from the situation, so that both sides could return to the negotiating table.
“In order to continue the dialogue, the tariffs need to be revoked and there has to be political will to come to the mutually acceptable solution”, said Apostolova.
She sees the engagement of Germany and France as a support to continuation of the dialogue which is welcome, if it could lead to a solution.
Commenting on the announcements of the government in Pristina that it would not allow the formation of the Association of Serb Municipalities, Apostolova said that it is impossible to eliminate what is already agreed upon and added that both sides have the obligation to implement the provisions of the Brussels agreement.
