WASHINGTON – United States Senate ratified the Protocol to the North Atlantic Treaty of 1949 on the Accession of the Republic of North Macedonia with 91-2 votes today. The document is yet to be signed by the President Donald Trump, but the process is expected to be only a formality. With recent ratification of the parliaments of United Kingdom and Italy, there are now only four more legislative bodies of the 29 member states to finalise the process. Officials of North Macedonia have expressed hope that the process will be over by Spring next year.
