BELGRADE – The Brussels Agreement, including the Community of Serb Municipalities, must be fully implemented, EU foreign policy and security chief Federica Mogherini said in Belgrade late Thursday.
“I believe that all elements of the agreement need to be implemented swiftly. I welcomed the beginning of the process of drafting the (Community) Statute that has been delayed for some time and that now has started and we will obviously, as always, not only monitor, but also accompany with our work in Brussels the further steps that will be taken, as we always do,” she said at a press conference with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
Vucic reiterated his disagreement with both sides being called on to meet their obligations, noting that the Community of Serb Municipalities – an obligation of Pristina – was the only part of the agreement left to be implemented.
