TANJUG_maliZAGREB – The countries involved in the Brdo-Brijuni Process agreed Wednesday that in order to step up stability and security in South-East Europe (SEE) it was necessary to strengthen the US-EU transatlantic partnership, reads a joint statement issued after the summit.

The statement says that a new impetus should be given to EU enlargement and Euro-Atlantic integration so that Europe could be “whole, free and peaceful”, Croatian media reported.

Given the latest world developments, the leaders agreed on the need for establishing a regular dialogue at an operational level between the US, EU and SEE countries so as to be able to respond to global security challenges.

The summit brought together the heads of state from the countries created after the break-up of Yugoslavia, Albania, President of the European Council Donald Tusk and US Vice President Joseph Biden.
