Tirana will be the first stop on European Parliament President Martin Schulz’s regional tour. The President will visit Albania on 13 and 14 July 2015 to meet with Albania’s highest authorities and address the Albanian parliament in a special session. During his stay in Albania, President Schulz will meet with President Bujar Nishani, Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta, Prime Minister Edi Rama, opposition leader Lulzim Basha, parliamentary group leaders as well as civil society and media representatives. He will also visit cultural sites in Durres, the EU-funded Police Academy in Tirana, and will have press points with Speaker Meta and Prime Minister Rama.
