TANJUG_maliBRUSSELS – Progress in the implementation of the Brussels Agreement on Kosovo-Metohija is crucial for the continuation of European integration, Maja Kocijancic, spokesperson to EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, said on Tuesday.

It is very important to implement what is agreed in the dialogue, because this is a meeting at the highest level, after all, Kocijancic said during Tuesday’s round of the dialogue on normalisation of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.

It is a crucial issue, not only for the normalisation process, but for Belgrade’s and Pristina’s further progress on the European path as well, she said.

The EU High Representative began the discussions with separate meetings with Belgrade’s delegation, headed by Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, and the Pristina delegation, headed by Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.

The topic of Tuesday’s Belgrade-Pristina discussions are the establishment of the community of Serb municipalities, energy, telecommunications and the Peace Park on the bridge in Kosovska Mitrovica.

The opening of the first chapters in Serbia’s EU accession process depends on the progress in the dialogue.
