VIENNA – During the Civil Society Forum Paris on the 3rd and 4th of July 2016 in Paris, activists from the European Union and the Western Balkans Civil Society organisations will elaborate policy proposals and to push forward actions that answer the main challenges facing the continent today.
At a moment of existential crisis for the European project, of breakdown of solidarity between countries throughout the continent and of undermining of fundamental rights and democracy in many countries, it is vital to change the narrative, to put relations between citizens and civil society throughout Europe at the core of a renewed vision for the future of the continent.
We want to set the scene with a photography exhibition, to inspire the discussions and present to a larger public the state of activits’ mobilisations in the region.
We are specifically looking for recent photographs of citizens’ and activists mobilisation in the Western Balkans. Photographs should convey the atmosphere of the mobilisation as perceived by the photographer. Photographies selected will be in accordance with the main focuses of the encounter: democracy, human rights, freedom.
We will choose 6 to 10 photographs, they will be exhibited for a couple of days in one of the most popular areas of Paris (Le Marais: Maison de l’Europe de Paris 38 rue des Francs Bourgois, 74004 Paris), normally in a courtyard of a building open to the public.
The photographers selected will receive 100 euros if their photograph is selected. The printing is provided on site.
To apply please answer the few questions on the form here and send a low definition version of the photograph proposed to Ms Djurdja Banicevic (d.banicevic@euroalter.com) via wetransfer with your name as title of the message and the title of the photograph. If selected for print you will need to provide 300 DPI version of the photograph.
Applications are open until Monday the 13th of June (included).
