BRUSSELS – Johannes Hahn, Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, will be in Bosnia and Herzegovina on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 March to participate in the Western Balkans Six Leaders’ meeting in Sarajevo, to attend public events and have meetings with political representatives, it is announced.
At the summit (16 March), the Commissioner will discuss with leaders economic and political perspectives for the Western Balkans in preparation of the Western Balkans Six Summit that will take place in July in Trieste. On the same day, Commissioner will meet representatives of the civil society, including young civil servants, participants in the EU Scheme for Young Professionals in the Western Balkans and students participating in the E4U Outreach programme.
On Friday, Commissioner Hahn will participate at the high level meeting on the Reform Agenda with Denis Zvizdić, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Fadil Novalić, Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Željka Cvijanović Prime Minister of Republika Srpska. Finally, Commissioner Hahn will attend the opening ceremony of the EU-funded cross-border bridge in Svilaj, with Chair Zvizdić and Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković.
