NORTH MITROVICA – The mayoral elections were held on Sunday in four municipalities situated in northern Kosovo. The Democracy in Action – coalition of NGOs which monitored the election process, said that with 85 per cent of the vote counted, candidates of the Serb List won more than 90 per cent of the votes in each of the four municipalities, the Radio Free Europe reported. According to the electoral authorities, turnout was more than 42 per cent. The voting was held in North Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, Leposavić and Zvečan and it went smoothly and without any problems.
