Under the slogan Europe Open, The Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia will, together with its partners, celebrate Europe Day by organizing a number of events in Belgrade and the Belgrade municipality of Obrenovac, in the presence of the European Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy & Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Han.
Commissioner Hahn will be the guest of honor of the central event in the celebration of Europe Day which will be held in Obrenovac, Serbia. This municipality, the hardest hit by the floods in May last year, will host a sports competition for elementary school students from all over Serbia. The students will be the part of the competition from 7 to 9 May and they will compete in volleyball and basketball. Competitions will be organized in three schools in Obrenovac which were renovated with the support of the European Union.
