European Security Policy at the Crossroads

BELGRADE, 25.06.2015. – On 26 June 2015 a conference on European Security Policy at the Crossroads will be organized in Belgrade by Center for Foreign Policy and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung office in Serbia. Review of the European security policy at the moment, especially in light of the critical points in the Western Balkans and Ukraine, is of particular interest not only for Serbia, but also for Europe. The accent of panels on the Western Balkans will be on recent events in Macedonia. In light of the Serbian chairmanship of the OSCE, it will be talked about the need for reform of the organization due to the new security challenges that Europe is facing. A special focus of the conference will be on Serbian foreign policy towards the key factors of security challenges. The panelists are prominent, and they will be Aleksandra Joksimović, President, Center for Foreign Policy, Belgrade, Heinz Albert Huthmacher, Director, Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, Office in Belgrade, H.E. Heinz Wilhelm, German Ambassador to Serbia, Ivica Dačić, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Chairman of the OSCE, Vuk Jeremić, President, Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development, Belgrade, Tanja Miščević, Chief Negotiator for Serbia’s accession negotiations with the EU, Tim Judah, Correspondent, The Economist, London, and the others.
