“Today’s actions of President Ivanov are not in line with my understanding of the rule of law. In the light of these developments, I have serious doubts whether credible elections are still possible. Political leaders must know that the actions we have seen recently put the Euro-Atlantic future of their country at risk. Democracy means compromise and serving the citizens. I call upon all political parties to come back to the negotiating table and work on reforms”, Commissioner Hahn wrote on “Twitter”.

President Ivanov in his address to the nation said that he had made the decision alone, and that it should put an end to the political crisis that has been imposed from outside. He added that the Przhino Agreement failed to resolve the political crisis. and that the crisis in the country needs to solved by themselves rather than using help from outside.
