SARAJEVO – The fifth edition of Summit100 Business Leaders of Southeast Europe, a conference which brings together the most prominent businessmen and political leaders of Southeast and Central Europe, kicked off in Sarajevo Friday.
Addressing the participants before the beginning of the conference, Mitja Kumar of the professional services firm Deloitte said that the region had potential for development, but it had to follow closely important global changes, such as high mobility of people and workforce and growing acceptance of new technologies.
People are becoming the most important part of business and we should therefore keep those who have the potential in the region, and continue helping them grow, said Kumar.
He pointed out that the way of doing business had to change, and it should serve to empower individuals through knowledge and new ideas.
“We need to be open and able to learn from others, to be able to develop our own ecosystem and also ourselves and our employees. It is necessary we push ourselves and do what we are good at, and to build the future on open platforms, Kumar said.
