Kocijančič on Ivanov’s speech: Everybody should refrain from interfering with the work of the SPO

BRUSSELS – The European Commission today called on all political leaders and other state institutions to respect and to refrain from interfering with the work of the Special Public Prosecutor’s Office.

“Everybody should refrain from interfering with the work of the Special Prosecutor Office, which is tasked with establishing legal accountability for what was made public in the intercepted communications”, stated the spokesperson for the European Commission, Maja Kocijančič for “Meta”, when she was asked to comment on President Gjorgi Ivanov’s speech, where he said that the SPO has turned into an institution for blackmail.
