Zannier: Reforms and progress Montenegro achieved represent role model for the entire region

cdm logoPODGORICA – Accomplished progress and reforms in Montenegro can be a model for the whole region, said OSCE Secretary General Lamberto Zannier during his today’s meeting with Prime Minister Milo Đukanović.

Zannier said that OSCE will continue to support Montenegrin institutions.

Zannier said that Montenegro has made a significant progress in the area of EU integration.

Đukanović said that Montenegro greatly appreciates cooperation with OSCE, that contributed significantly to je democratization of Montenegrin society.

He thanked Zannier for the support in joining OSCE, on technical support of institutions, that helped in the integration, and repeated Government’s dedication to promotion of OSCE values.

Đukanović introduced OSCE Secretary with the reasons that lead to Government of electoral trust. The goals of free and fair elections are to met by elections in October.

He said to Zannier that Montenegro will soon request observers from OSCE/ODIHR for the elections, saying that it is in the best interest of state to have as many national and international observers.

They agreed to continue intense exchange of opinions regarding OSCE’s mission in Montenegro after the elections as well.
