TIRANA – Speaker of the Parliament Ilir Meta held a meeting with the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Albania, Ambassador Romana Vlahutin, on Friday.
Parliamentary sources told ATA that Speaker Meta and EU Ambassador Vlahutin are discussing the seven organic laws that open the way for the judicial reform to be implemented.
International partners have urged political leaders for a swift adoption of the seven organic laws, with the vetting law being one of the most important of the judicial reforms package, unanimously approved in parliament last week. EU and US have jointly called for an extraordinary session of the parliament as the constitutional changes enter into force on August 11.
