Ambassador Wigemark meets NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg

SARAJEVO – Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, Head of EU Delegation and EU Special Representative in BiH, met with Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, on Thursday in Sarajevo. They exchanged views on Bosnia and Herzegovina political, security and economic situation, including progress on socio-economic reforms and the ongoing activities in terms of the Opinion process, reads the press statement published on Head of EU Delegation and EU Special Representative’s website.

Ambassador Wigemark stressed the full determination on behalf of the EU for advancing the European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Reform Agenda, and improving the economic conditions. He highlighted the importance of focusing on further economic development which is what the people expect: to boost the economy to create jobs, prosperity and welfare, reads the statement.

The meeting was also attended by Major General Friedrich Schrötter (COMEUFOR) and High Representative in BiH Valentin Inzko.
