Hahn will visit Skopje tomorrow for informal ministerial meeting for the West Balkans

meta_maliSKOPJE – The sixth ministerial meeting of the Western Balkans will be held tomorrow in Skopje and will be devoted to regional cooperation. The meeting, in addition to foreign ministers and the Energy Ministers of the Balkan countries involved in the so-called Berlin process. EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn will participate as well as the Italian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Vincenzo Amendola, and the Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council, Goran Svilanović.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced, at the informal meeting they will discuss issues of regional cooperation in various segments, with special emphasis on common regional challenges, economic prosperity and interconnection, rule of law and anti-corruption, aimed at integrating all Balkan countries into the EU.

“Foreign Ministers will hold a joint session with the Ministers of Energy, where they will discuss the implementation of decisions from the Paris summit and expectations of the upcoming summit in Trieste within the so-called Berlin process, “reads the press release.

During the next day after the ministerial meeting, Hahn will meet with representatives from civil society, and hold bilateral talks with representatives of all parliamentary parties.
