Gojkovic meets Mogherini: Important visit to Serbian Parliament

BELGRADE – The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojković met today with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice-President, Federica Mogherini, currently in official visit to Serbia.

Gojković and Mogherini agreed how important the visit of the European Commission Vice-President to Serbia is, and to the National Assembly in particular in that context, said the Parliament in a statement.

Mogherini said that it is her wish to convey a strong message of encouragement to Serbia regarding its EU accession efforts.

Underlining the importance of the European integration process for Serbia, Gojkovic emphasised the significance of the address of the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and European Commission Vice-President at the Serbian Parliament, which plays a very important role in Serbia’s EU accession process, statement concludes.
