BELGRADE – Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić met Thursday with leader of the Civic Initiative SDP Oliver Ivanović, with whom he discussed the formation of the Community of Serbian Municipalities, the political situation in Kosovo, the future of the Brussels dialogue and the procedure that the authorities in Pristina launched against Ivanović in 2016, Serbian Government stated.
Prime Minister Vučić and leader of the Civic Initiative Ivanović agreed that the establishment of the Community of Serbian municipalities, according to the Brussels dialogue, is the most important step in supporting the preservation of vital national interests of the Serbian people, but also for the preservation of peace and stability in Kosovo.

The two officials also spoke about the ways in which Serbia can help the economic progress of the Serbian population in the southern province.

Ivanović said that the political situation in Kosovo is unstable and tense because the local political parties are in constant conflict with each other.

The government of Kosovo has not managed to push through any of the laws that were important to them, which eventually led to the fall of the government in Pristina, and nervousness was further aggravated by the fact that the Brussels dialogue is a process that will last long, Ivanović concluded.
