Orav: Montenegro to improve integration dynamics through continuous efforts

Montenegro continues to negotiate about the Chapters 23 and 24 with the European Commission

PODGORICA – The Chief of EU Delegation in Montenegro Aivo Orav says reforms related to the EU accession provide benefits to citizens, institutions and businesses in candidate countries, while Montenegro’s continuous efforts will improve dynamics of the integration process.

He attended the international conference of Montenegrin Pan-European Union (CPEU) ‘For Europe: Communicating European Integration between EU member states and enlargement countries’, and said there were many challenges over the past few years which required EU focus on internal issues, but the enlargement policy was not neglected and ‘still is a priority and their most successful foreign policy’.

He stated the strategic priority of the EU is to strengthen its wok in the whole region considerably, ‘including Montenegro and Serbia, as current leaders in the accession negotiations’.
