POZNAŃ – Marko Čadež, president of the Western Balkans (WB) Chamber Investment Forum, and Genoveva Ruiz Calavera, director for WB at the EC Directorate General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, on Thursday signed up to a partnership on a project aimed at boosting the competitiveness of the region’s economies.

The three-year, 2.5 mln euro project bankrolled by the EU will be implemented by the Forum and means over 1,200 SMEs from the region’s six economies will be able to count on concrete assistance from the regional chamber of commerce aimed at improving their production and sales capacities, boosting their sales worldwide and in regional markets and helping them become suppliers of multinational corporations, obtain money from European funds and attract foreign investment.

“Our goal is for companies in the region to sign, mutually and with companies worldwide, over a hundred agreements worth around 50 mln euros during project implementation,” Čadež said.
