Basha meets Mogherini: Without technocrat govt. opposition is unlikely to return to parliament

Lulzim Basha

ata_maliTIRANA – HRVP Federica Mogherini had a meeting on Friday evening with the head of DP Lulzim Basha, ATA reports.
After the meeting which took roughly 30 minutes, Basha reported that he had briefed the EU senior official on the way out proposed by opposition adding that without a technocrat govt. leading into free and fair elections, the opposition is unlikely to return to parliament.

“I made an overview of the serious political situation due to the almighty crime linked with political power of drugs and illegal proceeds, non-execution of decriminalization law, exercise of high -level influence to set the criminals free and failure to hold free and fair elections with special emphasis on fulfillment of all demands for free and fair elections through a good-will technocrat govt,” Basha said.

All this paves the way for implementation of justice reform in compliance with the July 22 constitutional definitions.

Quizzed about the stand of the EU chief of diplomacy, Basha said: Our cause, the cause of Albanian citizens has always won over those wishing the best for Albania.
