BELGRADE – The negotiating position for Chapter 30 in Serbia’s EU accession talks has been approved, Serbia’s chief EU negotiator Tanja Miščević said Monday, Tanjug reports. We have closed two chapters to date, Miščević said, noting it was too early to talk about closure of more chapters as this required much work, in particular on implementation.
Responding to reporters’ questions about EU enlargement, she said the process was not plunging into a crisis, but that it was not too high on the member states’ list of priorities now.
What is important is that the process is not closed and that we are working on internal reforms, Miščević said, adding that the first report on rule of law would be presented to EU member states in the first half of May.
