BRUSSELS – Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said ahead of a mini summit of EU leaders in Brussels on Sunday that Serbia was ready to take part of the burden of dealing with refugees despite not being an EU member-state, but stressed the need of finding a comprehensive solution.
“We are ready to take our quotas as all the others even though we are not a part of the EU… We are ready to take that kind of burden on our shoulder, but we need to see what a comprehensive solution would be,” Vucic told reporters ahead of the summit of the heads of state and government of Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Croatia, Hungary, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Albania and Serbia.
Vucic reiterated once again that Serbia “will not build walls” and was ready to discuss all issues in search of a comprehensive solution for the entire Europe.
