TANJUG_maliBELGRADE – Chapter 26 in Serbia’s EU accession talks will be opened at an intergovernmental conference to be held next week or in early March, says Minister for European Integration Jadranka Joksimović, adding Serbia is ready to open two more chapters, Serbian news agency Tanjug reports.
The progress report on Chapter 35 on Kosovo, which some EU members will want to see before making a decision on whether other chapters can also be opened, should be presented this week, Joksimović told the national broadcaster TV RTS.

“For us it would be good – and I believe we will succeed in this – to open at least two chapters, Chapters 26 and 20, as that would mean we are stably on the European path, which is a significant message to investors,” she concluded.

There has been a “negative atmosphere” lately as regards the implementation of the Brussels agreement but I believe we are out of the “circle of negative rhetoric”, she said, Tanjug concludes.
