Re-deployment of IMO international observers to Albania

TIRANA – The International Monitoring Operation (IMO) has re-deployed its international observers starting from Monday 27 March 2017, it was announced at the EU Delegation to Albania website.

Candidates to the vetting institutions were invited by the Ombudsperson office to complete their application dossiers, based on the recent decision by the Assembly of Albania.

As from Tuesday the assessment committee at the Ombudsperson Office will review the newly submitted documents, under monitoring by IMO international observers. In continuity with the previous exercise and the legal requirements, the IMO international observers will also review the documentation. If relevant, an updated reasoned assessment and recommendations on relevant candidates will be issued by the IMO, based on the findings of the international observers.
