PODGORICA – On the occasion of the Ratification of Montenegro’s Accession Protocol to NATO, Montenegrin PM Marković said that there was no doubt in the US strategic and partnership support towards Montenegro’s NATO bid, it was stated at the Government’s website.

On Tuesday the US Senate approved the ratification of Montenegro’s Accession Protocol to NATO, if I may say OUR PROTOCOL, PM Marković highlighted, adding that they had no doubt in the US support to Montenegro’s path towards NATO. We had no doubt whether our strategic partner and ally would support Montenegro’s membership in the Alliance, PM Marković explained, saying that existing dilemmas were fabricated due to some well-known reasons. All aforementioned facts are pointing out that the whole ratification procedure will be completed by the beginning of the Summit in Brussels, PM Markoivić noted, adding that these current developments are supported by the NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

“Montenegro’s membership in NATO, as one of the top priority strategic goals, will be the greatest foreign policy success since the country restored its independence. Montenegro has achieved this notable success thanks to the active engagement of our institutions in achieving the needed requirements and standards and huge efforts in the overall reform process, as well as contribution of diplomatic – consular network and overall support of Euro – Atlantic allies and partners,” PM Marković pointed out.
