BELGRADE – Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić has received a letter from Donald Trump, who expressed gratitude for the Serbian head of government’s congratulatory message regarding his inauguration as US president, noting that the US “greatly values its close ties with Serbia,” Tanjug reports.
“Our shared values are evident across our bilateral relationship, including support for Serbia’s goal of joining the European Union, which will help ensure a more prosperous and secure future for your country and the Western Balkans region,” Trump wrote.

“Serbia’s efforts to fully normalise relations with Kosovo also stand as further testament to how shared aspirations of peace can overcome even the most difficult challenges,” he noted in the letter.

“I look forward to deepening our bilateral cooperation as we work to achieve our common goals,” Trump wrote.
