cdm logoPODGORICA – The Parliament of Montenegro will vote on the Draft Law on the Ratification of the North Atlantic Agreement at the session which will be held in Cetinje on 26 April, the office of the Parliament Speaker Ivan Brajović stated, CdM reports.

This essentially means that the Parliament will vote on Montenegrin membership in NATO and it is likely that the law will be passed, since in addition to 42 MPs of the ruling majority, Social Democratic Party (SDP) announced arrival of its MPs to the session.

Ratification of the Montenegro’s NATO accession protocol is in its final stage in the Netherlands and Spain. It was previously confirmed by the other 26 the alliance member states.

Montenegro is expected to become a member of NATO at the summit to be held in Brussels in May.
