TANJUG_maliBELGRADE – Statements about a union of Albania and Kosovo remain merely in the realm of wishful thinking, Serbian PM and President-elect Aleksandar Vučić said on Thursday, urging those making such statements publicly to refrain from them as they were not contributing to good relations in the region, Tanjug reports.
Speaking at a press conference, Vučić said this was Serbia’s reaction to a statement by Albanian PM Edi Rama.

Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi has echoed Rama’s statement.

Regardless of someone’s wishes, it is clear to everyone that this is not going to happen, Vučić added.

“We will not insult anyone, we will not threaten anyone by making any statements. Serbia’s economic progress is what is on our mind first and foremost,” he said, urging the EU to voice clear positions about developments in the region.
