TANJUG_maliOSLO – Stability of the Western Balkans is substantial for development of all countries in the region and overall stability in Europe, Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dačić and his Norwegian counterpart Borge Brende said on Wednesday.

During an official meeting in Oslo, they agreed that, with its responsible policy and stability of its institutions, Serbia was the most significant factor of maintaining peace and prosperity in the region, the Serbian Foreign Ministry said.

The Norwegian party highlighted full support for the Western Balkans’ EU integration, in which it expects substantial commitment to reform processes and constructive cooperation of all states in the region.

Norway is also an advocate of a clearly defined, active EU commitment to the enlargement policy in the region, it was said.

Brende said Serbia was Norway’s “partner plus” in the region.
